Meet the Team

Mike Gray
Managing Director

I first became involved with In Line Safety in 2004 when it became a limited company within its own rights. I was then director of Survey Roofing and the now ‘In Line Safety’ was our in-house Health and Safety department. I soon realised the ever-increasing demand for Health and Safety services across all industries was something I wanted to be a part of, and so took a very proactive role in developing our new venture.

Jules Bird
Technical Director

After leaving school and working in the building supplies industry, I took up an excellent opportunity to work abroad and spent three years in construction in Spain, then moved to the USA where I worked for an outdoor outfitter company in Colorado. Here my duties took me into a responsible role in health and safety matters for the first time.

Brian Shears
Operation Director

After completing college in 1999 where I studied A Level Sciences and Geology, I started my working career with Southern Testing Ltd, who specialise in Geo-Technical site investigations. My role here was wide and varied and involved carrying out site studies using varying techniques for foundation design, road design and or contamination remediation design.

Isabelle Lea
Operations Manager

My role involves being the person permanently in the office on a day-to-day basis. I organise the teams’ schedules, quality check their assessment reports, invoicing and generally keeping order in the office.

Gareth Fulton
Health & Safety Consultant

I joined In-Line Safety as a Fire and Construction Consultant in 2021. Prior to this I worked as a consultant in the social housing sector as a Fire Risk Assessor. I graduated with a BSc honours degree in Building Surveying and have gained over 10 years’ experience in the building and fire safety industries. My primary roles are to provide consultancy advice on fire risk management for In-Line Safety’s clients and provide technical advice within the consultancy team. I am a very proud father of 3 wonderful girls, and any spare time left over from my work and home commitments is filled by following sport of all kinds.

Steve Mills
Health & Safety Consultant

I joined In-Line Safety Ltd. in October 2014 as a Health and Safety Consultant. My role is varied working for clients across different sectors of industry and providing different services. These include carrying out fire risk assessments, asbestos surveys, management audits, writing and reviewing policies and procedures, writing risk assessments and method statements, conducting construction site inspections and many other functions.

Lisa Silsby
Health & Safety Consultant

I’ve spent most of my working life in travel and tourism, spending 23 years at Virgin.  The last few was within the customer safety team conducting H&S, fire safety and food safety audits at our overseas hotels.

I joined In Line Safety in December 2021, to further my knowledge, primarily in the Fire Sector. I’ve completed my NEBOSH Fire Certificate in January, and have been actively expanding my fire risk management knowledge, by shadowing the technical team at In-Line Safety. I am looking forward to becoming a professional fire risk assessor in the near future

Dave Bush
Health and Safety Consultant

My experience is in car manufacturing and working at a power station repairing sprinkler systems and maintaining fire safety equipment where my role encompassed Health and Safety, specifically fire safety and fire risk assessments. My qualifications include NEBOSH General Certificate and Fire Safety Certificates, as well as various other fire management courses. I am currently completing my NEBOSH National Diploma.

Matt Warwick
Health and Safety Consultant

Since joining Inline Safety I have gained a host of experience in Fire Risk Assessments, Management Audits, Construction site inspections and Risk Assessments and Method statements and continue to learn and develop every day. My experience is in the Leisure industry and my qualifications include NEBOSH Fire and NEBOSH General

Emma Webb
Project Manager

I joined In Line Safety in September 2018 as a Project Assistant. This is a new industry for me so I’m constantly learning. My role involves looking after three of our major customers. Keeping track of which sites our consultants have visited, what stage the works are at, writing up reports, keeping a close liaison with the client at all times and invoicing when required.

Lauren Waddell
Lead Administration Manager

Previously, I had been working in global trade. I joined In Line Safety in 2021 when I decided I wanted to widen my knowledge and work in a different industry. My role involves general administerial duties , formatting reports, creating action plans, liaising with clients, arranging appointments, and invoicing. In my spare time I enjoying socialising and particularly dining out with my friends

Naomi Barton
Office Administrator

After working in Social Housing & Ventilation for over a year and half, I decided to come and work for In-Line Safety. This is a different industry for me but I’m enjoying learning everything about it. My Role involves quality checking the assessment reports, invoicing, general admin, and working closely with Isabella and the rest of the team.
